My friend and I stopped by Ashoka and honestly had such a good time. As a vegan, I loved the vegetable samosas. Perfect texture, super fresh, and the chutneys were so good. For my friend, the chicken samosas and lunch menu were a whole different experience and she was very happy with everything. She loves trying Indian food, so this place was a win. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made it even better. Definitely our go to spot for Indian food and highly recommend.

Ashoka is the ultimate 'cute date' spot—the ambiance hits that sweet spot of being stylish without looking like it’s trying too hard to impress your Instagram feed. The food is a seamless marriage of Northern Indian and Chinese fusion. Pro tip: if you have any respect for your spice tolerance, go for 'Hot.' We tried the 'Medium,' which offered a polite, flavorful handshake rather than the fiery hug I was looking for. But the real stars? The staff. They were so attentive I’m convinced they were telepathic; I didn't have to flag them down once. It’s rare to find service this kind without it feeling intrusive. The cherry on top of a great night, I’ll definitely be back!

We shared a few dishes as the portions are large. The spinach mushroom pasta was delicious as was the butter chicken. I recommend stopping in for a lovely meal and tranquil atmosphere. Cheers!

Dined here for lunch and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious. I had the lamb tiki masala and garlic naan. The chicken samosa was amazing as well. Couldn’t skip out on dessert either: try the bread pudding! Service was great. Carlo was very polite and Marisol warmly greeted me at the door. Definitely will be back.

Ashoka The Great continues to impress. The bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was a surprise favorite—perfectly warm, pistachio-forward, and not overly sweet. It felt indulgent without being heavy, and the fusion flavors really stood out in the best way. The seasonal cocktails were also on point. The hot toddy was nicely cinnamon-forward and comforting, while the egg nog was lightly sweet and balanced—not overpowering at all. The weekend buffet is an absolute steal. It strikes a great balance between classic North Indian dishes and thoughtful fusion touches, making it feel both comforting and fresh. Between the food, drinks, and long-standing presence in Little India, Ashoka The Great remains a spot worth returning to again and again. Weekend buffet 10am–3:30pm $21.95 | Kids $12.95

The buffet is amazing. Great tasting food, that is put out fresh. I highly recommend calling ahead because the wait times can be long (for weekend buffet)

When we first walked in, there was a delicious smell that greeted us. The service was excellent. Everyone made sure all of our needs were met. The appearance and aroma of the food was appealing. We enjoyed vegetable and chicken somosas, tandoori chicken, lamb tikka masala, mali chicken, basmati rice and garlic naan. Also, the ambience was welcoming.
